Biker Detained After Threatening Salim Khan: Bandra Police Call It a Possible Prank

Lawrence Bishnoi ko..': Burqa-clad woman threatens Salman Khan's father Salim Khan | Today News

*Bandra Police have detained a motorcyclist accused of threatening Salim Khan, father of Bollywood star Salman Khan, in an incident that authorities suspect may have been a prank.*

The unsettling event occurred Wednesday morning when Salim Khan was relaxing at the Carter Road promenade. A man on a scooter, accompanied by a woman in a burka, approached him and ominously asked, “Shall I send Lawrence Bishnoi?” before speeding away.

After the encounter, Khan promptly reported the threat to the police, which led to the registration of a case against the unidentified scooter rider. A Bandra police officer revealed that Khan managed to remember part of the vehicle’s license plate—four digits: 7444—helping authorities track down the suspects.

The pair have been charged under multiple sections of the Indian Penal Code, including inciting enmity and public nuisance. Senior Inspector Sanjay Marathe stated, “We are reviewing CCTV footage to locate the couple, but we suspect it was just mischief.”

This incident is part of a troubling pattern of security threats faced by the Khan family. Just two days earlier, a motorcyclist was arrested for reckless driving while trying to breach Salman Khan's convoy. Moreover, Salim Khan had previously received a threatening note at Bandstand, raising alarms for the family.

Heightened security measures have been a necessity for the Khans, particularly after a shooting incident outside their residence in April, where assailants fired multiple rounds at their home. A recent police charge sheet implicated several individuals, including Anmol Bishnoi, brother of the incarcerated gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, in the attack.

As investigations continue, the police have filed charges amounting to ₹50,000 against the accused for public nuisance and conspiracy, with the remaining suspects currently held in judicial custody.
